MOSCOW, April 24 (RIA Novosti) – A former head of a Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) Moscow department has been detained on suspicion of involvement in the drug trade, the Investigative Committee said on Wednesday.
From 2010-11, Grant Akopyan, head of the FSKN CID department in Moscow, sold narcotic substances to people from former Soviet republics, the committee said in a press release.
A criminal case was earlier opened into the sale of more than 20 kilograms of heroin involving several unidentified FSKN officers.
The FSKN has been unavailable for comment on the case.
