ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 30 (RIA Novosti) - Law enforcement officers have killed a suspected criminal in a shootout in the Russian North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, investigators reported Tuesday.
A suicide belt was discovered on the body of the suspected criminal, identified as Magomed Arapkhanov born in 1976, wanted on suspicion of killing his parents, a spokesman for the regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee said.
The spokesman said the scene would be examined in the morning because “due to the darkness, there is a threat to the life and health of officers.”
One policeman was slightly injured in a shootout with Arapkhanov before the latter was killed.
