MOSCOW, May 9 (RIA Novosti) – Two people, a woman and a child, were injured on Thursday in a bus blast in north Moscow, local emergencies said.
The explosion, reportedly caused by a gas tank, hit the bus near the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station, ripping the vehicle’s roof off and shattering its windows, the Emergencies Ministry said.
The accident occurred when the bus ended its route and had neither passengers nor a driver inside, a police spokesman said.
The injured people were the passers-by. The victims have been hospitalized. The 8-year-old child is in a serious state, TV reports said.
The blast also damaged a shuttle bus parked nearby, a RIA Novosti correspondent said.
