KYZYL, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Two teenagers in Russia's East Siberian republic of Tuva were detained after killing a man with a hunting rifle in order to steal his car, the local Investigative Committee said on Thursday.
The detained teenagers, aged 12 and 14, said that last Sunday they took a hunting rifle from their uncle and set off looking for a car to steal. They spotted a man repairing an UAZ car near a cemetery and asked him to give them a ride to the nearest village.
“While the man was busy, the teenagers took the rifle and shot him in the back of the head and then fired an insurance shot into his temple. They dragged his body into a forest and took his car,” the committee said in a statement.
Investigators have launched a criminal case on murder charges.
