MOSCOW, June 14 (RIA Novosti) - A Urals city mayor has been captured on camera at the French Open when he was supposed to be on a business trip, the ura.ru news agency reported Friday.
Nizhny Tagil Mayor Sergei Nosov, who last week left on a business tour, appeared in Reuters footage on Sunday in a VIP box in the company of Leonardo Di Capri.
That day Nosov was celebrating his daughter’s birthday, the agency said.
On Monday, Nosov introduced Sverdlovsk Governor Yevgeny Kuivashev to former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin who is to visit the Urals city of Yekaterinburg to throw his weight behind its World Expo 2020 bid.
