MOSCOW, June 15 (RIA Novosti) – Three people were hospitalized following a mass brawl involving several dozen people that took place in the center of Moscow in the early hours of Saturday morning, the local police department said on Saturday.
“At about 4.50 a.m. today a call was made to the emergency services reporting a mass fight near number 7 on Kuznetsky Most Street. According to preliminary information, about 30 people were involved,” a police spokesman said.
Local media reported that the brawl, which took place less than a mile away from the Kremlin on a pedestrian street lined with upscale stores and restaurants, began as an argument that then deteriorated into a large-scale street fight. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered three people, who were then hospitalized with various injuries, the spokesman said.
“The circumstances of this incident are currently being investigated,” he added.
