LE BOURGET, June 17 (RIA Novosti) – Russian state arms seller Rosoboronexport, part of Russian Technologies (Rostec) high-tech corporation, and South Africa’s Denel Aviation will expand their Johannesburg-based joint maintenance center for Mil Mi-8/17 helicopters, in a deal signed by the two companies on Monday.
The companies agreed at the Le Bourget air show in France to expand the capacity of the center, opened in March 2013 by Denel Aviation and Russian Helicopters, which is part of Rostec.
The center will be able to offer comprehensive maintenance, and also complex repair and modernization of civil and military Mi-8/17 helicopters, the companies said.
