CAIRO, June 30 (RIA Novosti) - One person was killed and more than 50 wounded in clashes across Egypt between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi on Sunday, the Al-Masry Al-Youm news portal reported.

One protester was reportedly shot and killed by Muslim Brotherhood supporters in the city of Beni Suef, about 70 miles south of Cairo. At least 16 others were reported injured in the Beni Suef clashes.

Protesters in Beni Suef torched the offices of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), AhramOnline reported.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters massed in Cairo’s Tahrir Square and in cities around the country calling on Morsi to step down after one year in power. In Alexandria, hundreds flocked to a central square, interrupting the flow of traffic and chanting "Leave!"

In the Nile Delta governorate of Kafr al-Sheikh, dozens of protesters blocked government institutions with chains and prevented employees from entering the buildings. The demonstrators said they will continue to block these buildings until the regime stands down.
