WASHINGTON, July 2 (RIA Novosti) – SDI media, a California-based provider of dubbing, subtitling and translation services to the global entertainment industry announced this week that it is expanding into Russia.
SDI Media Russia, a joint venture with the Moscow-based media company New Media will be majority owned and operated by SDI.
“With a strong and experienced local partner in New Media - a very successful company that specializes in developing content and materials for television content owners serving Russian cable and satellite markets; SDI can now provide a complete Russian solution to clients locally, and worldwide,” SDI said in a press release.
With its headquarters in Culver City, California, SDI has offices in 32 countries and employs 4,000 freelance translators worldwide. SDI Media Russia’s dubbing studio will be located close to Moscow’s Ostankino TV tower, hub of the nation’s broadcasting.
