MOSCOW, July 3 (R-Sport) – Russian football club Zenit St. Petersburg will have to double their 9 million euro valuation of Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic, a report in Italy said Wednesday.

Vucinic, 29, is thought to be a target for both Zenit and Britain’s Tottenham Hotspur after becoming surplus to requirements at Juventus when Carlos Tevez arrived in Turin from Manchester City.

Football Italia reported that Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti was willing to shell out 9 million euros for the Montenegro international, but Juventus’ starting price is 18 million euros.

The Montenegro international scored 10 goals in 31 league appearances for Juventus last term. His place in the starting lineup is thought to be under threat after the arrival of Tevez last month in an 11.7 million euro deal.

Zenit are looking to bolster their squad as they seek to regain the Russian Premier League title they lost last season to CSKA Moscow.

So far this summer, Zenit have brought in ex-Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin and former Bayern Munich midfielder Anatoly Tymoshchuk.
