MOSCOW, July 8 (RIA Novosti) - A dog attacked and killed a drunk patient at a mental hospital in the Moscow Region, Russia's Investigative Committee said on Monday.
The woman, 34, fell into an enclosure with an Alabai, a Central Asian shepherd dog, as she attempted to climb over the fence at the institution about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of Moscow on Sunday, the committee said in a statement.
She was later found with multiple bites around her neck.
Police who arrived at the scene shot the dog, rbc.ru reported. A probe has been opened into the incident, the committee said.
