WASHINGTON, July 8 (RIA Novosti) – New York contemporary art gallery Casey Kaplan has announced that it now represents the Los Angeles-based Russian artist Sanya Kantarovsky.
Kantarovsky, who was born in Moscow in 1982, has enjoyed a rising international profile in recent years, exhibiting his work in London, Rome, Moscow and New York since 2003 and at solo exhibitions in Los Angeles and Berlin in 2012. Another solo exhibition, “The Flat Made Thing” is forthcoming at the Altman Siegel gallery in San Francisco later this year.
Casey Kaplan includes prize winning artists from the US, Europe and Canada among its clients, including the British artist Simon Starling, who won the UK’s prestigious Turner Award in 2005 for sailing a shed down the river Rhine before reassembling it in a Swiss museum.
Kantarovsky’s first solo exhibition at the Casey Kaplan gallery will be held in May 2014.
