MOSCOW, July 11 (R-Sport) – Angolan international defender Bastos has signed a three-year contract with a Russian Premier League football team, the Russian side announced Thursday.

The 21-year-old center-back, whose full name is Bartolomeu Jacinto Quissanga, joins Russia's Rostov FC from 15-time Angolan champions Petro Luanda and has 15 caps for his national team.

He is the latest in a raft of new signings at Rostov, who narrowly avoided relegation last season. Others to join the southern side this summer include Lokomotiv Moscow goalkeeper Anton Amelchenko; Croatian left-back Hrvoje Milic; Ivorian defender Igor Lolo; Anzhi Makhachkala right winger Kamil Agalarov; South Korean striker Yoo Byung-Soo; and journeyman midfielder Azim Fatullaev.

They also took on loan Spartak Moscow midfielder Jano Ananidze and forward Artem Dzyuba, plus midfielder Igor Khudobyak from Karpaty Lviv.

Bastos is the second Angolan to play in the Russian Premier League following Francisco Zuela, who played for FC Kuban and Alania Vladikavkaz in 2009 and 2010.

Rostov start their 2013-14 campaign with a home game against Terek Grozny on Monday.
