MOSCOW, July 14 (R-Sport) - Five Jamaican athletes including two Olympic gold medal-winning sprinters have tested positive for banned substances, a report in their native country said Sunday.
The five – two field athletes and three runners – failed tests taken at the national trials in Kingston on June 20-23, the Jamaican Gleaner reported.
They were not identified by the newspaper, which did not indicate where it got the information from. Jamaica is renowned for producing a long line of top-class sprinters.
The news breaks three weeks before the world championships in Moscow.
