MOSCOW, July 30 (RIA Novosti) – A Congolese man was detained on Tuesday at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport for assaulting and injuring a police officer near a Russian Orthodox chapel on the premises, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo, born in 1982, insulted parishioners at the chapel and, when a policeman showed up to detain him, he scratched the officer’s face and tore his shirt, the statement said, adding that an investigation was under way.
