MOSCOW, July 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a plan to implement a state program on aviation industry development in 2013-2015, the government said in a statement Tuesday.
The plan is part of a broader state program to develop the industry until 2025 that was endorsed by the government in December 2012. The program aims to make the sector highly competitive and help it regain its positions on the international market.
A total of 78.3 billion rubles ($2.4 billion) will be allocated to the program from the budget in 2013; 107 billion rubles ($3.3 billion) will be contributed in 2014; and 123.5 billion rubles ($3.8 billion) in 2015.
As a result, by 2025, the share of Russian aviation production manufacturers on the world market in monetary terms will reach 3.6 percent and 11.9 percent in the civil and military segments respectively.
