MOSCOW, August 11 (RIA Novosti) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has undergone an emergency hernia surgery, his office reported Sunday.
The operation, performed Saturday overnight at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, was completed early Sunday. It was successful and Netanyahu is now recovering, his office said in a statement.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the surgery took one hour, just as expected.
Netanyahu, 63, who was hospitalized with abdominal pain Saturday evening, is expected to be discharged later Sunday.
