MOSCOW, August 14 (RAPSI) - A Russian lawyer who shot six people dead at his Moscow office last November pleaded guilty to murder in court Wednesday.
Dmitry Vinogradov, 29, went on the rampage with two hunting rifles at the office of the pharmaceutical company he worked for on the morning of November 7. He shot dead three men and two women and wounded a fourth man who later died in hospital.
Dubbed the “Russian Breivik” by Russian media, Vinogradov posted a manifesto on his social network page shortly before the shooting, detailing his disgust with society and comparing humanity to cancer.
Previous reports said he had been drinking for several days before the attack.
Experts confirmed Vinogradov’s sanity during the investigation, despite his unbalanced state during the shooting spree. He was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code, including murder, and faces a possible life sentence if convicted.
