MOSCOW, August 14 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian woman has been detained at Hong Kong airport with 12 kilograms of cocaine in her backpack, the South China Morning Post reported Wednesday.
The woman, 22, whose name has not been disclosed, arrived at the airport on a flight from Brazil on Tuesday, the newspaper said.
Later in the day, customs officers found 48 bricks of cocaine, each weighing a kilogram, in the luggage of a 35-year-old Hong Kong man who had also arrived from Brazil. Authorities are looking into whether the two had collaborated.
