MOSCOW, August 15 (RIA Novosti) – A drunk man in central Russia was beaten to death after he selected a wrong door in an apartment building and accidentally entered someone else’s home, a local investigation committee said Thursday.
According to the committee, late Saturday night the drunken resident of the city of Kostroma by mistake entered an apartment where a military serviceman was visiting his relatives at that time.
“[The serviceman] forced the man out of the apartment and, due to personal enmity, beat him up, dragged him out of the building and laid him in the grass by a road,” the committee said in a statement.
The man died of his injuries, and the serviceman faces up to 15 years in prison for killing him, the committee said.
