MOSCOW, August 19 (RIA Novosti) – A 20-year-old man who allegedly screened a porn movie on the facade of a concert hall in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty, told police that he “just wanted to have some fun” after a friend told him the password for the hall’s outdoor video billboard, local media reported Monday.
The screening took place last week on the prestigious Palace of the Republic concert hall, and police were able to track the alleged “hacker’s” Internet Protocol (IP) address, news site Tengri News reported.
But the supposed hacker turned out to be a car dealership employee who said a friend saw the password clearly displayed on the billboard when the concert hall was changing the code.
The alleged prankster now faces up to two years behind bars on a charge of “illegal access to computer information.” Police, however, did not take him into custody.
