MOSCOW, August 19 (RIA Novosti) – The fastest man on Earth, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, on Monday thanked Russian fans for supporting him during this year’s athletic world championships in Moscow.
Bolt won three gold medals during the championships – in the 100-meter and 200-meter races, and in the 4-by-100-meter relay.
With the three victories, he jumped to the top of the all-time world championship medals table with a total of eight golds and two silvers, edging out sprint legend Carl Lewis, who has eight golds, one silver and one bronze.
“Came here. Dominated. Now I’m leaving. Thanks for support. Keep supporting me,” the 26-year-old athlete said in a video posted on his Instagram blog.
