Russian and Chinese forces “neutralized” simulated terrorists in the joint Peace Mission 2013 military exercise, held last week at the Chebarkul base in Russia’s Chelybinsk Region.
Involving over 1,000 troops from Russia and China and two dozen jets and helicopters, the counterterrorist forces were indeed impressive. Chinese fighter bombers and helicopters took part in coordinated air raids alongside Russian aviation units, while the land operation was backed by nearly fifty Russian and Chinese tanks and infantry combat vehicles.
