SARAJEVO, August 30 (RIA Novosti) - A man from Kazakhstan and a woman from Ukraine, who both went on a bicycle tour across the south of Montenegro, were forced to spent a night on a tree saving their lives from a bear, local CdM news portal reported.
Policemen and residents of the town of Vilpazar went on a search and rescue mission on Thursday after the two tourists called their friend using a mobile telephone saying they were on a tree in the nearby forest hiding from a bear.
The search lasted for several hours and was complicated as mobile telephones of the tourists went dead and when policemen decided to take a break, both travelers emerged safe and unhurt in Vilpazar on their bicycles.
The news portal added that the authorities of Montenegro strongly advised tourists against travelling without a local guide in the wild areas of the country.
