MOSCOW, September 6 (RIA Novosti) – NATO does not rule out the possibility that Russian warships will participate in exercises next year, a NATO spokesman said Friday.
The director of NATO’s information office in Moscow said there was a “good chance” that Russian warships will participate in next year’s NATO exercises, which could involve sea rescue scenarios.
He also noted that six NATO warships from Norway, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland will visit St. Petersburg over October 10-14, and described this as a good opportunity to build ties.
