MOSCOW, September 14 (R-Sport) - Spartak Moscow kept up its good form with a 4-3 win home over Lev Prague in the KHL on Saturday, its fourth win in five games this season.
Spartak, which has not reached the KHL playoffs since 2011, now sits fourth in the Western Conference, while Lev is fifth with two wins from four games.
The Moscow team had Pavel Medvedev to thank as he scored a double, including the game-winner on 14:34 of the third period, and there were also goals for Alexei Krutov and Andrei Sergeev.
Lev tied the game three times, but could not take the lead. Martin Thornberg was the standout man for the Czech team with two goals, while Michal Repik also scored.
Earlier in the day, Dynamo Moscow took the top spot in the West with a 2-0 road win at Vityaz Podolsk and Barys Astana beat Atlant Moscow Region 5-4.
Later, CSKA Moscow hosts Dinamo Riga.
