MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) – Some 500 people remained unaccounted for across Colorado on Sunday after deadly floods hit the area killing at least four, according to US media reports.
A fifth person is presumed dead, CNN reported citing officials. The unaccounted for have not been listed as missing yet, even though they haven’t contacted their relatives. Local authorities were reported as saying that some of those residents might be stranded or cut off from communication.
Thousands of residents have been evacuated from their homes since the floods rushed in overnight on Wednesday. Forecasters warned of more rains in the flood-hit areas on Sunday.
