MOSCOW, September 22 (RIA Novosti) – Thieves have stolen 2.7 million rubles ($85,000) from a cash machine at a hospital in south Russia, local police said Sunday.
The incident occurred late on Friday at a hospital in Maykop, in the republic of Adygeya. The burglars had to dismantle a wall to reach their target in the hospital’s utility room.
There were no security guards at the building, a police spokesman said. A search for the suspects is ongoing.
