MOSCOW, September 23 (RIA Novosti) – Two men, previously convicted for serious crimes, have fled a psychiatric hospital in the city of Chekhov near Moscow, police said on Sunday.
According to Russian media reports, one of the two patients had earlier been convicted for murder and the other has a criminal record of robbery.
“Two previously convicted men, one of them a murder convict, have fled a psychiatric hospital in Chekhov. They had been involuntarily committed to this facility by a court ruling,” a spokesman for Moscow Region police department said.
A search for them is under way.
