MOSCOW, September 24 (RIA Novosti) – A passenger train smashed into a herd of cows in the north of Belarus, killing 52 of them, a Belarusian online newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The Moscow-bound train hit the animals in the Vitebsk Region last night when some 164 cows belonging to a local farm were on the track. The collision delayed the train for just an hour.
In late August, a cargo train killed 15 cows in the Vitebsk Region in a similar accident when a herd frightened by boars broke through the ‘electric shepherd’ fence.
