MOSCOW, September 30 (RIA Novosti) – A second-grader who was setting paper airplanes on fire and launching them off his balcony in central Kazakhstan accidentally started a decimating blaze in a neighboring apartment when one of the planes flew inside, a local newspaper reported.
The parents of the boy, who was home alone at the time, have offered to pay for the damages, the city of Karaganda’s Nasha Yarmarka newspaper reported last week.
The neighbors were not home when the blaze occurred, but someone did call firefighters, the newspaper reported, without naming the date of the incident.
