The Khabarovsk Bridge, also known as the Amur Miracle, was the largest railway bridge in the Eurasian continent when it was constructed. The bridge is pictured on the Russian 5,000-ruble banknote.
Winter in Khabarovsk is usually very cold, with little snow.
Summer is hot and humid.
Khabarovsk trams – one of the region’s attractions – were first launched on November 5, 1956.
One of the wonders of the Khabarovsk Region is lotus in bloom. This unique flower grows on a few lakes in the south of the region and blooms for only a few days.

The Sikhote-Alin mountain range is home to the Amur tiger, one of Russia’s natural treasures. The Amur tiger is the largest of the species, and the only subspecies of tiger to have adapted to life in the snow.
The Dzhugdzhur Mountains are another attraction of the region. The mountains run for over 700 km, with the highest peak – the Topko Mount – soaring to 1,906 meters.
