ASTRAKHAN, October 21 (RIA Novosti) - Two Iranian nationals were killed after their car collided with another vehicle on a highway near Russia’s southern city of Astrakhan, a spokeswoman for the local Emergencies Ministry’s department said.
According to Anzhelika Barinova, a Chevrolet Cruze car with Iranian citizens crashed into a Volga car with local residents on the Astrakhan-Zelenga highway and both vehicles ended up in a ditch.
“Two people, who are citizens of Iran, were killed and five more people, including a child, were injured,” she said.
A spokesman for the local Interior Ministry’s department, said that two people killed in the accident were both Iranian women, adding that among the injured were two children.
