KYZYL, October 23 (RIA Novosti) - A resident of the republic of Tyva, in east Siberia, was sentenced to 11 years in prison after he was found guilty of killing a 14-year-old schoolgirl, who refused to have sex with him, local prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday.
According to prosecutors, last November the schoolgirl was cruising with the convict in his car, when they stopped near a dam on the Malyi Yenisei River.
“After the teenager refused to have sex with the man, he strangled her,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “When he made sure that the teenager was dead, he dragged her body out of the car and threw it in the river.”
The statement also said that the girl’s body has not been found yet.
