OMSK, October 25 (RIA Novosti) – A 35-year-old Russian ex-con threw himself under a moving car in a southwest Siberian city after betting his friends he could cross the road naked, police said in a statement.
The incident, after which the man was hospitalized with a chest injury, was captured on video in the city of Omsk, and the footage was posted online, the statement said.
The man told police that he injured himself with a knife while trying to cut off his jacket, which he was having trouble removing because he was intoxicated. He asked police to halt their investigation.
Police, nevertheless, confirmed in the statement that an investigation was under way.
