MOSCOW, November 19 (RIA Novosti) – Five people died after a wooden house caught fire in west Russia early Tuesday, local emergency services officials said.
The burned bodies of a woman and her three adult sons and an unidentified man were found at the scene of the incident in Chirkino, a village in the western Smolensk Region.
The house was completely destroyed by the blaze.
Police say a malfunctioning stove may have caused the fire. An investigation is underway.
