The ceremonial opening of the Faberge Museum took place in St.Petersburg on Tuesday. The museum, located in the Shuvalovsky Palace on the Fontanka River embankment, will be open for visitors from December. The collection features over 4,000 works of decorative and fine art including gold and silver items and paintings as well as items made of porcelain and bronze.
