MOSCOW, November 23 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian man hanged himself in Paris two days after murdering his girlfriend in St. Petersburg and hiding her body in a sofa, investigators said Friday.
Officials in St. Petersburg said that the 28-year-old man, identified as a graduate of the city’s police academy, killed his 26-year-old girlfriend over “personal enmity” last Thursday. He hid her body inside a sofa in the apartment where the couple lived.
He subsequently traveled to Paris where he committed suicide in a hotel room, investigators said.
