MOSCOW, December 5 (RIA Novosti) – Police in the southern Russian city of Volgograd have detained a suspected car thief who had a 19th-century handgun on him, the Interior Ministry’s regional branch reported.
The man, recently released from prison two months after serving time for murder, had a tsarist-era Nagant M1895 revolver, which police seized.
The suspect, caught on Tuesday night in the city center when trying to steal the car, refused to explain how he got hold of the gun.
