MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) – A resident of a hamlet in Russia’s Kostroma region killed the only two other inhabitants of his village in a drinking dispute, investigators said Thursday.
The man moved to the village from Siberia three months ago. Last month, he approached his neighbors to invite them for a drink, but was refused by the homeowner.
“In the course of the ensuing conflict, the suspect killed the man and dragged his body to a barn,” investigators said.
They added that the suspect returned to the house, stabbing a woman before fleeing the scene. Sometime later the suspect returned and stole cash and property that he then sold, investigators said.
