MOSCOW, December 22 (RIA Novosti) – A deputy Russian foreign minister and Malta’s top diplomat held bilateral consultations in the Maltese capital Valletta, confirming the two countries’ urge to expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Sunday.
Alexei Meshkov and Maltese Foreign Minister George Vella agreed to make consultations between senior diplomats regular, the ministry said in a statement.
Meshkov and Vella also exchanged opinions on European security issues, Russia-EU relations and interaction with the framework of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
