MOSCOW, December 28 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to hold a Russia-EU Year of Science in 2014.
The move aims to develop the country’s scientific potential and expand its long-term partnership with Europe, the Kremlin said in a statement Saturday.
Putin instructed the Russian government to form a national organizational committee, develop and approve a plan of events to hold the Year in two months’ time, the statement said.
