KRASNOYARSK, January 3 (RIA Novosti) – Police seized 200 million rubles’ worth ($6 million) of synthetic drugs on New Year’s Day from a passenger train headed to Moscow, a spokesman said Friday.
Police in the Siberian Krasnoyarsk region found 15 kilograms of the synthetic drugs PVP and PBF-22 in a sports bag while searching compartments of the train traveling from Russia’s far eastern city of Vladivostok, drug police spokesman Roman Morozov said.
Morozov said that police detained the suspected smuggler, who faces up to 20 years in prison for transporting the approximately 700,000 doses.
