KYZYL, Republic of Tuva, January 11 (RIA Novosti) – A teenager was stabbed to death in the Siberian region of Tuva when trying to punish another young man who sold his family’s piglet, local authorities said.
The fatal brawl by four underage Tuvan caused much stir in the remote region when it was first reported last week.
The cause of the stabbing was initially unclear, but the republican government reported Friday it was a small pig.
The suspect caught the little swine in the street and sold it, prompting the ire of the family that owned the creature.
A teenager from the pig-owning family attacked the swine dealer in the street with the help of two friends, but the seller defended himself with a knife, killing one and injuring another.
All four were drunk, the government said.
The killer claimed being unaware that the piglet had an owner.
No legal repercussions were reported so far for any of the parties involved.
