KIEV, January 17 (RIA Novosti) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday signed into law the country’s budget for 2014, his press service said.
The budget envisages a deficit of 4.3 percent of GDP, economic growth of 3 percent and inflation of 4.3 percent this year.
The Ukrainian parliament passed the budget bill on Thursday despite attempts to disrupt the process by opposition deputies. It was supported by 249 deputies, comfortably over the 226 required.
The government approved the budget in December, but plans to put the measure before parliament were delayed by opposition deputies until January.
