MOSCOW, January 20 (RIA Novosti) – The king and prime minister of Norway will attend the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia, the Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende said Monday.
Norway’s delegation to the Games in the Black Sea resort of Sochi will be the third largest of any country, Brende said during discussions with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Numerous world leaders, including US President Barack Obama, UK Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande, have said that they will not attend the Games, which have been the focus of international criticism over anti-gay legislation passed by Russia last year.
