MOSCOW, January 22 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin played a Soviet pop song on the piano while a choir sang along at a meeting with students on Wednesday.
Putin met with students of the Moscow Physics Engineering Institute, one of Russia’s most prominent technical universities.
The president admitted he could not sing and that he practiced “slightly different things.” He then sat down at the university’s grand piano and played a simplified melody from the song "Moscow Windows," accompanied by a choir.
In December 2010, Putin joined Hollywood actors and other celebrity entertainers in St. Petersburg at a charity event for children with cancer, where he played brief sections of the Russian song “From Where Does the Motherland Begin” and “Blueberry Hill” on the piano before singing the latter in English, backed by jazz performers.
