MOSCOW, January 25 (R-Sport) – Russian light heavyweight boxing prospect Ilshat Khusnulgatin has suffered a stunning defeat in the biggest fight of his career, knocked out in the first round by Roberto Jose Acevedo in Atlantic City.
Khusnulgatin, known as “The Sheriff,” had won all of his 11 professional fights going into the bout with the Puerto Rican, who was 7-1.
The fight was 23-year-old Khusnulgatin’s fourth in the US and the highest-profile to date, as well as his first with promotion firm Main Events.
