ST. PETERSBURG, February 15 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian woman has been charged with murder after stabbing her friend in a drunken scuffle over sandwich-making, the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office said Friday.
The woman, identified as Natalya Patrina, was slicing cheese and a loaf of bread to make sandwiches last November when she was interrupted by her friend, with whom she had been drinking liquor, the prosecutor’s statement said.
The other woman, saying that she wanted to make the snack, tried to take the knife from Patrina and pull her by her clothes away from the table.
Patrina lost her temper, turned and stabbed her friend in the chest, according to the statement.
The woman died in the hospital.
