The Olympic men zipped through the Super G and cross-country skiing relays on Sunday, February 16, while the women competed in snowboard cross and speed skating.

Norway’s Kjetil Jansrud won gold in the super giant slalom.

US athletes claimed gold and silver in the Super G event. The winners (from left to right): Andrew Weibrecht (USA) – silver; Kjetil Jansrud (Norway) – gold; Jan Hudec (Canada) – bronze; Bode Miller (USA) – bronze. Miller, at 36 years old, set a new record for oldest Olympic alpine skiing medalist. The most “elderly” champion in the sport before him was Norway’s Kjetil Andre Aamodt, at age 34.

Eva Samkova (Czech Republic) took gold in the women’s snowboard cross finals.

Lars Nelson, Daniel Richardsson, Johan Olsson, and Marcus Hellner took Sweden to victory in the men’s 4X10km relay.

The Russian team took silver in the 4X10km relay, winning the country’s first medal of the Sochi Games in the discipline.
